Amarillo Project, San Juan, Argentina

ATW is scheduled to begin a new drill program at Amarillo beginning in early 2008. Our geological team has targeted several highly prospective areas within the Amarillo project which show excellent potential for a large copper gold porphyry system.

ATW has a joint venture with the property owner, Marifil Mines Limited whereby ATW can earn up to a 70% interest in the property over a period of 5 years.

Location and Tenure

The Amarillo gold-copper-silver project is located within the Veladero-El Indio gold belt on the Argentine side of the Andes. This belt is fast becoming an attractive area for major mining companies investing substantial funds exploring for world class gold deposits. The belt already hosts several major discoveries including Barrick’s 2 deposits lying to the north of Amarillo, Veladero (12.6 million ounce gold reserve) and Pascua Llama (18.3 million ounces of gold reserve) as well as the very high grade El Indio copper gold mine.

The Amarillo land-holding covers over 40 square kilometres of intensely altered sedimentary and intrusive rocks that represent the upper levels of two or more large porphyry-related hydrothermal systems.

Geology

The project’s geologic setting is similar to the setting at Newmont-Buenaventura’s Yanacocha mine in Peru. Amarillo is located on the eastern slopes of a main geological and physiographic complex, called the Cordillera Frontal, a geological province is characterised by development of thick belts of late Palaeozoic marine beds.

The copper-gold project covers intensely altered sedimentary, volcanic and intrusive rocks that represent the upper levels of two or more large hydrothermal systems. Field work suggests this is a high sulphidation epithermal system. ATW believe this project has the ability to host a large multi million ounce copper-gold deposit.

Previous Work

Field mapping, trench sampling and drilling was completed during the 1990’s by Argentinean Gold and Western Mining Corporation. Trench results produced many impressive significant gold anomalies which include:
